Grow Grapes:

Let's talk about growing grapes....

Grapes like lots of sunshine and prefer a soil that is gravelly. Plus, the soil must have a good water holding capacity. Clay soils can form a crust in the hot sun, blocking the water from getting to the roots. Sandy soils on the other hand usually filter the water out quickly and are not able to hold the water.

My suggestion is to do an evaluation of your soil to make sure it is suitable for growing grapes. Grapes are able to thrive in soils with a ph of 6.5 to 7.5. However, they are able to grow from starting ph values of 5.5.

I'm sure you've noticed the various colored grapes in your lifetime. These colors range from purple, blue, green, yellow, black, brown, peach, and even slightly pink! These grapes are used for various things such as wine, table grapes, and dried fruit like raisins.

There are several different types of red grapes like Merlot, Corvina, and others. Each is unique and equally loved by someone.

Alright, now that you have a background on grapes and understand soil evaluation, we need to discuss a few items that are needed for you to grow grapes.
